Assembled nanodiscs, biotin-labeled
Our assembled nanodiscs are available prepared with a mixture of standard phospholipids (DMPC or POPC) and headgroup-biotinylated phosphoethanolamine (PE). The biotin label can be used for immobilization or detection of the nanodisc via Streptavidin. Biotin-labeled assembled nanodiscs are conveniently aliquoted in 50 µL solutions of 0.5 mM concentration. End concentrations in the cell-free reaction range from 20-80 µM. Protein activity may depend on the lipid composition of the assembled nanodisc. Please contact us
for other combinations of membrane scaffold proteins and lipid mixtures.
Please note that assembled nanodiscs are for use in cell-free expression reactions only. They are not recommended for the reconstitution of membrane proteins already solubilized in detergent, or for the solubilization of proteins from membranes.
