Description

The pairing of an enzyme to its substrate is one of the most specific combinations in life sciences. This is why GST-tag purifications exploit this specificity to gain high levels of purity while maintaining a high protein yield.

PureCube Glutathione MagBeads XL is a suspension of 90 µm magnetic purification beads that are used for this purpose. Their small size provides high mechanical stability.

Additionally, we offer GST-tag affinity MagBeads with a bead diameter of 30 µm for higher mechanical stability and slightly higher protein yield. Alternatively, Glutathione Agarose resin for FPLC or batch spin approaches is also available.

Additional support products for GST-tag purification assays are L-Glutathione (reduced), an essential compound of the elution buffer, and our GST-tag antibody for later western blot detection of your protein. For your convenience Cube Biotech also offers its own MagBead separator for use with our magnetic beads.

Lab Results

Lab funds are sadly often the limiting factor when it comes to research. So it is of utmost importance that one gets the most value from every purchase one does. The reusability of products and materials is a key word here!

Our GST-tag purification products are able to reproduce all purification assays from lot to lot. We achieved minimal fluctuations between multiple uses of our beads. Multiple consecutive GST-tag purification with the same beads is ensured to be of the same high quality.

FAQ

Can I get the datasheet for the PureCube Glutathione MagBeads XL?

Why are there beads of different sizes for the same purpose?

It is a balance to strike here between protein yield (smaller beads) and other factors like higher FPLC flow rates or handling of very viscous cell media (bigger beads).

Can I regenerate & reuse your Glutathione beads?
