Description

PureCube Maleimide Agarose resin is your best option to couple biomolecules that carry thiol (SH) groups. The resulting Thioether bond between the Maleimide Agarose beads and your biomolecule of interest is stable so that the bead can be used for other applications afterward. Our PureCube Maleimide Activated Agarose is also available as magnetic beads in case you prefer this method, or as XL agarose resin if you need higher flow rates for your downstream application.

FAQ

Can I get the datasheet for the Maleimide Activated Agarose?

What can I do with these beads?

The beads carry reactive Maleimide groups on their surface. These can be used to bind all sorts of biomolecules if they carry free thiol (SH) groups. The subsequent use of the beads depends on what biomolecule was coupled. Note: The maleimide coupling is irreversible! If you need reversible thiol coupling beads, we recommend our Epoxy Activated beads.

How does the coupling work?

How long can I store the Epoxy Agarose?

The reactive properties of the Maleimide beads are very potent. But therefore, they degrade over time. We can safely say that upon delivery the beads last for up to 3 months. If properly stored of course.
