PlateX MP™ Strep-Tactin®XT MagBeads
Order number: 90810
Description
PlateX MP™ Strep-Tactin®XT MagBeads is a ready-to-use plate for automated membrane protein
solubilization and purification via Rho1D4-tag. It enables rapid identification of the most effective
synthetic copolymer out of eight variants for subsequent upscaling of membrane protein production.
The plate contains all required reagents - copolymers, HighSpec Rho1D4 MagBeads and
equilibration, wash and elution buffers - in a lyophilized format
We offer PlateX MP™ plates come in two plate types har - Axygen and INTEGRA, and where tested on INTEGRA and Analytic Jena instruments for which downloadable protocols exist.

Advantages of PlateX MP™ plates:
PlateX MP™ is a multi-component product, bringing together 5 different technologies from the Cube Biotech portfolio, and presenting multiple features.
- A time-saving pre-loaded ‘workflow mix’ for membrane protein purification that allows you to avoid long multistep experimental protocols
- Lyophilised components in the ‘workflow mix’,that ensure stability of components at room temperature
- A set of 8 NativeMP™ copolymers, that allow you to test 8 solubilisation conditions in a single run.
- Affinity Chromatography MagBeads, zhat allow purification of stabilised membrane proteins in the same well.
- Automation-ready experimental setup, including protocol for an easy set up an experiment on your liquid handling robot.

Lab Results

Yield and purification performance of the gap junction protein GJB2 (29 kDa) fused to a Twin-Strep-tag®, stabilized and purified using PlateX MP™ plates. Solubilization success was evaluated by SDS-PAGE, and protein identity was confirmed by Western blot using an antibody against the Twin-Strep tag. Protein yield was quantified by intrinsic fluorescence analysis of eluates (330 nm emission; black bars) and converted to estimated concentration (grey bars) using a BSA standard curve. Black arrows indicate the target protein.
